I didn't expect much from the cheapest set of Shinai, but to my surprise, they are the best quality I've ever got my hands on! The shipping costs were high though (Items : 50$CND + Shipping : 30$CND + Taxes : 10$CND = Total 90$CND for 2 Shinai). It isn't mentioned but the Tsuba (guards) are included, which is nice (Other sites may charge extra for them).
feels great sizing to fit; perfect for all use, and seasons. very happy with bogushop.
Just got it, I'm excited to see how feels in practice. It is made of imitation leather and a cotton/canvas combo.This is expected for the reasonable price. I will update in 6 months with how it holds up.
I have not tried all budget kote[s], but out of the few sets that I have, this is great and high value. You sacrifice the padding for the flexibility. It's one of the best $60 I've spent on Kendo.

great product, only reason for the 4 instead of the 5 start is the grip girth is a bit big. rather have something more regular size to train each arm/wrist.
I love it. The fact that it's balanced more towards the hands makes me feel more in control.

I was very nervous about ordering from a new vendor as this can end very badly. Fortunately this was not the case, great quality hakama and great light keikogi, I am very happy with the fit and how it looks and feels. I will soon make a YouTube review of my great experience purchasing at bogu shop.

I will be ordering for my students exclusively, they are well balanced, have good quality parts and the bamboo is of good quality. I will be posting a YouTube review later so someone can see what they are buying with confidence.
Average quality bogu bag, will hold the set of gym armor I put together just fine. No frills, and no complaints!
I ordered this as my first ever Bogu set. The pieces all fit perfectly and the quality is incredible! If you are looking for a great set for an amazing price, I highly recommend this set!
I've used this set regularly in the past 2 months and I'm loving it.
I think the selling point here goes towards the men and kote. Superb quality compared to my dojo's bogu - the men has enough padding to reduce the impact of most men strikes, and the kote feels more comfortable while wearing it/taking hits compared to the 6mm Orizashi kote.
I'm not sure about the do or tare, but it does feel more premium than ones I was borrowing from my dojo.
However, the tenugui and himo that comes with it were terrible. The ends of the tenugui keep ripping into small pieces because of bad stitching and all of my men and do himo ripped after a few practices... These things sensei will pick up and scold you for, so it was very unfortunate.
Nevertheless, some inconveniences, but a great product. I'd recommend people to order here at BOGUSGOP instead of E-BOGU because you'll get your value here.

In order to keep my other set of kote fresh, I alternate my main one with this. It doesn't have as much padding as my other pair (from the 2mm bogu set), but it gets its job done during practice.
